Hello January. Hello 2016. Oh, and Happy New Year!

Who's ready for winter? Not me. But it doesn't really matter if I'm ready or not, does it? Because it's already winter. It has been for two weeks now. And it came whether I was ready or not. And whether I like it or not (I don't).

Puffer coats, or quilted coats, or down jackets (gosh, why so many names?) are synonymous with winter apparel. And now that it's officially winter and officially freezing, the time has come to don this puffy, pillowy, feathery attire.

Opting for a long puffer coat will obviously afford you with the most warmth, but if you think a long coat will overwhelm you, have no fear - there are lots of shorter options above as well.

Black is the most versatile and classic color you can choose, but a puffer coat in navy, grey, or brown would be a great alternative. You can also be brave and venture into the exciting world of red and green and pink and silver and beige and white. So, so, brave of you. Practically a hero.

I'm eyeing the grey/white/metallic hue above. So that I'll hopefully be mistaken for a snow angel. Fingers crossed. But black would be my second choice.

On a completely unrelated note, they're the best (until someone else gets a hold of one):
