Patterned tights. And socks. Sheers. Opaques. Polka dots. Hearts. Fishnets. Checkers. Flowers. Stripes. Etcetera.
I'll admit, I haven't worn patterned hosiery in years. I used to have a huge collection of all types of tights and socks, and I wore them all the time. But these past couple of years, I've worn only black opaque tights or leggings. So I recently gave my whole stockpile away. Shame. Such a shame. Because now they're trending.
Patterned tights were featured on many a designer's runway show for this fall. And I'm glad, because I think this hosiery trend is pretty unique and something that hasn't been seen all that much anywhere. Like, I've never seen a fashion blogger that I follow on Instagram flaunting them.
But I wonder if we'll start seeing personal style bloggers sporting patterned socks with their Adidas Superstars soon. Or polka dotted tights under their shorts. Or a formal dress with a sheer seamed tight. We shall see. Not holding my breath though.
But you don't have to wait for your favorite personal style blogger to start displaying some fancy pantyhose. Wear them first! I know I will.
And those sheer patterned socks I featured above? So cute!! I can see myself wearing them with a pair of sandals. Or oxfords. And a short skirt. Mmmmm... (I know "Mmmmm" is usually used for food, but I just felt like it fit in here, ya know?)
Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some socks to order.
On a completely unrelated note, pretty accurate:
