Button-downs. I love them. I love them so much that this is the second time button-down shirts are getting their own special blog post. The first time I featured button-downs was when this blog was brand new. I'm talking two weeks after Truffles and Trends inception. That's how much I love them. Yes, that much.

Last time, I depicted 5 different button-down styles. And talked about different ways you could style these shirts. This time, it's all about flannel. Because it's getting colder. Or it should be, at least. I know, it's still August. But September is in two days. And September, for me, means two things: 1 - it's my birthday month, and 2 - it's time to showcase all my cold-weather apparel in their full glory. Not just boots, but full-on winter garments. Which, of course, includes flannel shirts.

Now usually, when people think cold-weather, they think oversized knit sweaters and turtlenecks. But a flannel shirt can be just as cozy. And a nice change from your favorite fuzzy stuff. And won't require you stuffing yourself into your puffer coat because of the bulky sweater that you're wearing underneath. Which isn't to say that I have anything against big sweaters. I don't. I love those too. But everything has its pros and cons, ya know?

I wear collared shirts all the time in the spring and summer. But now I'm going to start wearing button-down shirts in the fall and winter too. Flannel button-down shirts, that is.

On a completely unrelated note, it's verging on life-threating:
